ALTER is a group exhibition of 2025 presented by Uncool Artist members. Bringing together five artists from diverse backgrounds and disciplines, the exhibition delves into the relationship between environment and materiality, questioning how matter transforms human experience, perception, and interaction within space.
From sculptural installations to performative documentation, the exhibition explores the transformative potential of materials—how they not only occupy space but alter our sense of place.

Whether raw, found, industrial, or organic, these materials respond to the human condition and our ecological surroundings, challenging the boundaries between object, subject, and environment.
Occupying the dedicated Uncool Gallery within Brooklyn Navy Yard-Building 77, the show is open to the public during the Navy Yard Open House on Saturday, October 18, an annual event that attracts a wide and diverse public audience to engage with art, design, and innovation in this iconic industrial setting.
