About

Uncool Gallery is an artist led space dedicated to contemporary experimentation and community driven artistic practice.

The gallery officially opened in June 2024 through a collective founding process that involved Carolina Paz, Alex Aguiar, and a board of ten artists. This group shaped the gallery’s initial vision, projects, positioning, and partnerships. Following the board’s decision to dissolve, the gallery transitioned into a nomadic and experimental format and now operates as an integral part of the Uncool Artist initiative.

Uncool Gallery is directed by Carolina Paz. The gallery holds space for material, poetic, and political experimentation through solo exhibitions, remote collaborations, and site specific processes. Programming develops through dialogue and is structured to support evolving ways of being an artist, making art, and engaging with others. Artists working within this context challenge conventional gallery models by cultivating collaborative relationships grounded in shared authorship and mutual growth.

Visitors are invited to engage with the gallery’s current space and experience firsthand how Uncool Gallery sustains a living context for artistic inquiry and co creation. Upcoming exhibitions continue this ongoing exploration.
