About

Uncool Gallery is an artist-led space for contemporary propositions that resist capture.

In June 2024, Uncool Gallery officially opened its doors governed by ten of its artists as a board of members, actively deciding on projects, positioning, and partnerships. After the founding board chose to dissolve, the gallery transitioned back into a nomadic and experimental space, now functioning as an integral part of the Uncool Artist initiative.

Founded and currently co-led by Carolina Paz and Alex Aguiar, the gallery holds space for material, poetic, and political experimentation through solo exhibitions, remote collaborations, and site-specific processes. Programming is shaped through dialogue and designed to support new ways of being an artist, creating art, and engaging with others.
Artists here challenge conventional gallery structures, building collaborative relationships rooted in mutual growth and shared authorship.

We invite you to visit our current space and experience firsthand how Uncool Gallery sustains a context where artistic innovation and co-creation remain central. Upcoming exhibitions continue this living inquiry.
